Extensive Misrepresention of Concepts and Terminology
Thoughout the book, Wilder misrepresents Dallas in nearly every possible manner, creating a significantly distorted picture of what Dallas actually taught. Wilder then proceeds to challenge this image of spiritual formation that he himself constructed, while telling the reader that he is addressing the teachings of Dallas. This can only create confusion for the reader, or worse, leave them with a dimished understanding of spiritual formation.
